Technology Leadership and AI

On 18th February 2025, students from Mehmet Azman Çavuş Ortaokulu, Aslıhantepecik Ortaokulu, İBB Şair Erdem Bayazıt Ortaokulu, and JU Druga Osnovna Škola BiH held their first virtual meeting. The session began with warm greetings, followed by verbal introductions from the students. Each school shared videos showcasing their school life, giving everyone a glimpse into their environments. A presentation about their cities and countries added to the cultural exchange, sparking curiosity among participants. The meeting concluded on a high note, setting the stage for future collaboration and shared learning experiences. Stay tuned for more updates as this exciting project develops!

Gebze Kocatepe SS e-twinners searched some information about AI. After that they read and discuss the article. Finally, they watched the video about the examples and uses of Artificial Intelligence.

The students of Gebze Kocatepe Secondary School prepared a bulletin board as a part of  S afe Internet Day. They searched risks and benefits of using Internet. It was a good experience for them. They raised awareness for using the Internet safety.

 

 

 As part of Safer Internet Day, we hosted an engaging workshop titled "Race Through AI Traps," where students learned about the potential risks and benefits of using Artificial Intelligence (AI). The workshop began with a discussion on what to watch out for when interacting with AI—highlighting issues like privacy, misinformation, and bias. Students explored both the advantages of AI and the challenges it presents in everyday use. In groups, students participated in a fun guessing game where they tried to determine what was created by AI and what wasn’t. This activity sparked lively debates and deeper thinking about AI’s influence on our digital world. To wrap up the session, students shared practical tips on how to use AI wisely and responsibly, emphasizing the importance of critical thinking and caution when relying on AI-powered tools. In today’s ever-evolving technological landscape, understanding the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become more important than ever. As part of our classroom project, students embarked on an exciting exploration into the world of AI, diving deep into its key concepts, types, and real-world applications. Our journey began with a comprehensive article on Artificial Intelligence. Students worked collaboratively to extract core information, gaining insight into what AI is, how it works, and its different types, such as machine learning, natural language processing, and robotics. After familiarizing themselves with the subject, the next step was to define Artificial Intelligence in their own words. They synthesized their newfound knowledge to come up with clear, concise definitions that reflected their understanding of AI’s role in modern society.
